Cuz We Said So

In June, Rick Santorum made comments regarding gay marriage that received a fairly universal nuking from all areas of the press. In particular, this comment he made

If the Supreme Court says that you have the right to consensual sex within your home, then you have the right to bigamy, you have the right to polygamy, you have the right to incest, you have the right to adultery. You have the right to anything.

Curious how now only a couple of months later, we already have signs that Santorum may have been right.

I think that we can assume that issues of adult / child sexual / marital relations will remain taboo for some time, due to the logical argument that a child is not capable of giving informed consent. However, issues of adult polygamy and adult incest are now wide open for debate, and I struggle to find a compelling reason why they would not draw upon the court's ruling on gay marriage for clear direction.
